Folder redirection (Windows Server 2008 + Vista) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am doing folder redirection on laptops. when I look in the sync centre on the laptop on see two locations for same place i.e.

    users(\\server.domain.x)

    users(\\server)

How can I remove the bottom one from the synch settings (I have fqdn set in my group policy, so the bottom one may be some legacy setting)

  • I was able to fix this by running the fix it tool here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/230738 it basically cleared the cache in CSC folder and then when resynched the partnership in synch centre

this reduced my CSC folder from 8Gb to 3 Gb so there was a lot of old cached stuff in there

  • Hi,

I notice the systems are Windows Server 2008 and Vista, it is recommended to post the thread in Windows Vista IT Pro and Windows Server forum for further help.
