What Exchange Management Console version is supported on Windows Server 2012 R2?

Question
-
Working with Novell's Identity Management suite to automate creation of email boxes in Exchange 2010.
Need to install the Exchange Management Console on the DC (Server 2012 R2) where the
Identity Management Remote Loader is running. I have read a number of threads that state 2010 Exchange Server cannot run on Server 2012 R2, however I am inquiring about the 2010 Exchange Management Console (only), version SP3 RU7 being installed. Is this also unsupported and if so, what is acceptable and supported?

Hi,
In general, it is not recommended to install Exchange Management Console on a DC.
In addition, Windows Server 2012 R2 is currently only listed as a supported OS platform for Exchange 2013 SP1, and the supported version for Windows Server 2012 R2 is Exchange 2013 SP1 and later.

Besides, if you have other questions related to Exchange, you can ask in the forum that Tim provided.

Questions about which versions of Exchange are supported on which versions of Windows are better asked in an Exchange forum. The Exchange team determines that level of support, not the Windows Server team.
