MySite: Page cannot befound with W7 client and a 2 load balanced SharePoint Front end servers RRS feed

    Recently we migrated to Sharepoint 2010. Farm consists of a SQL cluster, 2 application servers and 2 Web servers with load balancing

    On PCs with Windows XP are having no problem with MySite, on PCs with Windows 7 we get the message webpage cannot be displayed. This problem existed even with MOSS, then we used the workaroud  to refer to a single node in the host file.

    Given the impending migration to Windows 7, not an option.

    Hi,

    It seems that the load balancer is not being reached from your Win 7 PCs.

    Try telneting the load balancer and check if it is successful or not. I would suggest you to add a mapping of load balancer with the URL as well.

    Hi Rahul,

    We're using Windows NLB.

    The use of our Intranet, running on the same servers,  is no problem, so I can reach the load balancer.

    When I adjust my host files so that my mysite is pointing to 1 of de application servers, there is no problem reaching the mysite.
