Is UAG equivalent/comparable to Tivoli Access Manager? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Folks -

We are considering IBM TAMeb to serve as a reverse proxy for web applications and SSO-type capabilities.  We are having some issues with Tivoli and someone suggested looking into UAG.  I'm being very lazy here - but in a simple statement could some tell me if these products are roughly equivalent in nature?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Osho27,

That really depends on what you are trying to do. UAG is more of an access gateway than a web access management platform, but it does have reverse proxy for web apps and SSO capability (Kerberos/NTLM delegation, Forms POST SSO etc).
