custom attribute in portal RRS feed

  • Question

  • hello,

i followed creating the custom attribute of employeestatus and bind it to user. also i can add it to portal, but i want to have different format in portal.

instead of typing active|inactive in fim portal, i want to have a drop down menu which when you open it, you can select active or inactive.

    how can accomplish this?

    thank you

  • Hi,

take look at the attribute EmployeeType in the portal, this is similar to what you want.

First attribute in schema must be a string.

Then enter a regular expression on either the attribute or binding, like in EmployeeType for all the possible values.

Modify RCDC so that the possible values are presented in a drop down list control.

But if you only have to values (and never more) I would maybe find it better to use a boolean attribute and use a radio list control.
