  • Microsoft Forefront Client Security run a scan on Saturdays, 2:00 AM.  Most of the workstations will finish scan by Monday morning.  However, on some, Forefront icon stays spinning on the system tray indicating scan is stil in process.  What do you think may cause thist to happen?

  • Hi,

    Maybe FCS is blocked on a specific file or process and cannot continue its scan. You can look at MPLog-daterange.log

    In plus, make sure that the windows update files/security files/gpo files are excluded from the scan and also if you have a local database or an application in use ; http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822158/en-us
