Image Capture: MDT 2013 and Windows 10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm using MDT 2013 on Windows Server 2012 R2 to capture images from a Hyper-V virtual machine running Windows 10.

I can capture images of Windows 7 all day long, but when I try to capture a Win 10 image...

    1) Sysprep files don't get copied over to C:\Scripts on the VM even after completely disabling UAC via the registry and rebooting.

    2) SysPrep does execute and then the network connection evaporates causing the task sequence to fail - "Can not find script file '\\<servername>\<deploymentshare$>\Scripts\LTICleanup.wsf"

    3) Device manager shows that the Hyper-V bus driver cannot initiate after running SysPrep and no network connections appear in the device list.

    Any suggestions?

  • For anyone searching for an answer...

So after much of my own hair pulling, my synopsis and hypothesis is this:
MDT version 8443 is the devil.

I rolled back to version 8330 and everything worked as if deploying and capturing images is what it was made for.
