Could not delete or update custom monitors, views or overrides in Default Management Pack RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have SCOM 2012. We saved few custom monitors, views and overrides in the default management pack and we were able to update them later. But from past few days, we are getting the following errors and few similar ones whenever we try to update anything that was saved in the default management pack. Need help with this. Thanks !!

  • Hi,

NEVER save overrides in the default management pack. If you update the management pack, overrides are overwritten by the update.

Always save overrides into a new management pack. "We saved few custom monitors, views and overrides in the default management pack........" - if it's only few, I would delete the management pack, and import the management pack again. Then I would make overrides again and save them to a new management pack

  • Thanks for the reply.

I wouldn't be worried about the custom monitors and overrides, but there are views that I want to save and be able update them, as there are many of them. Is there any way to fix the errors in the current default management pack?
