Flood of Notifications With No Changes RRS feed

  • Hello all,

    This morning on 1/3/2018 we received a flood of emails saying that Incidents had been resolved. However these Incidents had been resolved and closed weeks ago.

    The subscription sending out these notifications is looking for all Incidents that update their statuses to Resolved.

    On all of the Incidents being notified on, though, there have been no history changes in over a week, so I'm not sure how this subscription is even being triggered.

    Is there somewhere else I should be looking? Has anyone else had this problem before?

    My best guess is that you re-enabled an old subscription that triggered the flood of emails. This has happened to most of us at some time. 

    When you re-enable a subscription that has been disabled for a while it starts processing from when it was disabled rather than from when it was re-enabled. 

    If it has stopped happening now, the subscription will have caught up and will be processing as expected.
