Get an error saying my profile did not load properly after starting my computer RRS feed

  • Agggghh, I did a clean restore and the problem came back within a month! 

    Anyone have a real fix?? 

    (Vista home w/all the service packs)
    Office 2007 pro
    Windows Live
    Corel X3
    Quicken 2009

  • No help, I did not delete a profile and I'm not in a domain. 
    >>> " This error may occur if the "Do not logon users with temporary profiles" Group Policy setting is configured."
    I did do a System Restore to a few weeks back and it is working. 
    I've turned off automatic updating for now.

  • Hi Patrickspc, is the error message exact the following:

     

    "The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded."

     

    If this is the case, I suggest you first try the solution in the following kb article:

     

    Error message when you log on to a Windows Vista-based computer by using a temporary profile: "The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded"
