Can not upgrade itunes 8 to Itunes 9 with windows Vista RRS feed

    I've spent a couple of days trying to install a new version of itunes, only to continually end up with the following error.  I've tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling, and fixing the Apple Application Support file using WinRAR.  Nothing works.  Suggestions?

    The installation of the Visual C++ 2005 Runtime failed.

    Do you have .net framework 1.1 installed? If yes, remove it and try to install the VC++ Runtime again.
