Backup file share fail over cluster disk's. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Alright here is the setup

Server 1 physical, Storage Server 2008 r2 enterprise

Server 2 physical, Storage Server 2008 r2 enterprise

Both servers are in a Failover cluster, disks live on a p4000 series san connected mpio iSCSI 10gig.  Both servers have HP P4000 VSS Provider listed via "vssadmin list providers" command.

How do i add the cluster disks from my file sharing service on the cluster?  Both servers have the dpm agent installed and its working the way it should giving me backups of the C:, SystemState, BMR, consistency checks, backups, etc perfectly.  When trying to add the cluster volumes to the protection group DPM doesnt see them at all, from either server.

How do i add the volumes from the failover cluster to DPM to back them up?

we are the people our parents warned us about. :-)

  • What happens if you expand the cluster name, then the cluster group where you have the shared disks?
