  • Question

  • Hi,I can't open certain files in my Windows 7. I try to open the file by double clicking it,but a loading circle appears and then disappears again,I've tried to right-click it and then execute it as an admin. Still doesn't work. I've also tried to open the file with the Task Manager, but still no results. Since no error is shown on the menu I don't know what to do,can someone help me PLEASE?!

Answers

  • Hi,

Firstly, please check if there are related errors in Event Viewer and let us know the types of the files.

Meanwhile, please check if Clean Boot Mode can help you.

    Hope this helps.

  • First, open up with Default Programs

Select the type of file, (if it is pdf extension, then chosse it)

and make sure it's current default is what it should be. In this case, I would see if it is adobe reader or not.

If it is not, you change and try open again.

    Visit my website www.zon-ze.com

I will have a post title "Associate a file type or protocol with a specific program"

  • What types of files are they and where are they being opened from?

Have you tried disabling your anti-virus and then opening?
