  • Question

  • Hi,

Please can you help i'm currently running MAPS Toolkit 6.5.429.0 on a windows 2008 r2 sp1 server. I have a problem with the collection of the network utilization on a windows 2003 server. all of the other collection information is successful except for the networking side of things?? I've run the following commands on the windows 2003 server as suggested by the wmidiag.exe log file.

    'WINMGMT.EXE /CLEARADAP'
    'WINMGMT.EXE /RESYNCPERF'

After running the above commands i ran another collection, bu the network utilization stats are still missing?

    Please help!!!!

    many thanks

    Nick

  •  I assume you are talking about the network utilization values that you get from collecting performance data, correct? First we need to see if the problem is on the machine or with MAP's connection/permissions. Perf counters are dependent on 3rd party drivers, so if they are messed up, the counters could be bad. Run PerfMon on the machine and enable the "Bytes Total" network counter and see if it shows any data. This is the counter MAP uses to determine network utilization for virtualization placement.
