MAP Database Export Issues (Running on Windows 10) RRS feed

  • Hi there,

    I have been trying to assist a client with getting an export (.bak file) to us and he keeps getting an error (this is the first time I have come across it) - it doesn't seem to matter where he is trying to export it to it does the same error.  He has tried the desktop and various other locations....  He has a Windows 10 machine - is this the issue?  are there some sort of system settings which do not allow the .bak file to be created perhaps?

    A failure occurred while exporting the database.  Refer to the log file for more details.  Cannot open backup device 'C:\Users\name\MAP\Database Backups\MAP_5uib2ape.zfq\MAPdb.bak'  operating system error 3 (the system cannot find the path specified).  BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally.

    Please help...

  • Did you try both the Export option in MAP and a regular SQL backup process from SQL Server Management Studio?
