Internal Mail Flow Does not work. Email gets stuck in Drafts

    Question

  • I have two 2013 servers in Hyper V. Both has CAS and MBX roles installed on them.

Initially when exchange was setup, mail flow was working fine. Now internal and external does not work.

Emails getting stuck in drafts. When I do telnet for the domain, telnet domain.com 25, it just says connecting to domain... and freezes.

But I can directly telnet to the exchange server , telnet exchangeipaddress 25,

  • Hi Sathish,

According to your description, it worked fine initially, and now it is not working.

What did you change in exchange server?

Please also ensure that all exchange services are running.

You can also try to restart both the exchange servers and check if any helps.

    Best regards,

  • Please check if the DNS records are correct. This also happens in OWA?

  • Can you check MX record configured correctly.

    Open command prompt,

type nslookup--- check dns resolution --- set type=mx ----- domain.com

and check send connector and received connector configured.

Open exchange shell type test-serviceshealth and let me know all the services up and running
