Error code: 80070241 on installation RRS feed

    Right i downloaded Vista beta 2 and burnt it to disk,the installation seems fine untill about 4% when the error message saying 'Problem with installation. Error code:80070241'

     

    Does anyone know what this error code means or just a way round it so i can install vista or at least point me in the direct of a copy somewhere that work as i have already got the Product Code.

    Could you re-try burning?  I have seen this type of error many times, and it seems to be related to a bad burn...

    Post back with your results...

    I burnt 3 copies and none of them work unfortunately so im guessing it either the way im burning it or a problem when i downloaded it.

     

    iv asked a friend to copy one of his for me to see that it anit my computer.  even tho it meets the recommended specs if could just be my hardware is not compatable. ill keep trying different things tho

    I had this error yesterday exactly, my solution was to re-download the ISO and (as before) I had it mounted as a virtual drive.

    This time it installed, though still doens't work!
