Problem to installation sharepoint foundation on windows 7 x64 : 'dbwrap.exe' failed with error code: 536870913 RRS feed

  • Hi

    during installation sharepoint foundation 2010 in my virtual machine (with windows 7 x64), i'm facing this error :

    Error: Command: 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\SERVER14\Server Setup Controller\dbwrap.exe' failed with error code: -2068578304. Type: 8::CommandFailed.

    however i found this link which solve my this problem, but for now, i'm facing this problem :

    Error: Command: 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\SERVER14\Server Setup Controller\dbwrap.exe' failed with error code: 536870913. Type: 8::CommandFailed.

    til now, i could not find any solution for error code 536870913. can anybody help me ?

    Hope you have followed all the steps in the article you mentioned

    +] dbwrap.exe is all about the SQL Server Express installation, so it can be some compatibility issue with Windows

    i've read your link, but i don't find sql server installation file in in my sharepoint foundation installation folder!

    is there any other way to work-around this problem ?

  • dbwrap is something related to SQL Server installation.

    I can find DBWrapLog file in %temp% folder, which contains the following line:

    INF:0:Get value SINGLESERVER from reg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Web Server Extensions\14.0\WSS\ServerRole.

    I changed the SINGLESERVER to APPLICATION, then the repair installation works.
