  Could it be Norton anti-virus/firewall?

  Hi Lizzie,

  I would temporarily disable the antivirus and firewall.  I'm assuming you also have the necessary rights to allow software downloads and installations?

  Certainly something is interferring with the computer, and Norton anti-virus software is a good candidate.  Turn it off and try again.

  Shutting off Norton's firewall still did not work for me. Any other ideas?

  Where are you downloading the Project 2010 trial from?  The link above throws a run-time error.
