Changing List Columns

Question

I am using Sharepoint 2007(the free version). I imported a spreadsheet to create a list. For some reason, it made the 3rd column in the column you click on to open the list item. How do I change that so it is my first column?Thursday, January 5, 2012 6:02 PM

Change the order of the columns. Edit the view and change the column order.

Hi,
You can go to ViewEdit page by clicking Modify this view or via Settings > List Settings, choose the view you want to change order in Views section. In ViewEdit page, you will find Position from left beside the Column Name, there you can change the order the columns display in view.
Thanks.

It's called WSS 3.0. Please use that name to avoid confusion.

WSS3/MOSS FAQ (FAQ and Links) http://wssv3faq.mindsharp.com/default.aspx
Both also have links to extensive book lists and to (free) on-line chaptersThursday, January 5, 2012 6:04 PM -
