Disable Inprivate Browsing IE 11 windows 8.1 home edition RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I've scoured the technet and although i can see many articles on disabling inprivate browsing they all relate to earlier versions of IE or windows.

I have a number of windows 8.1 home edition laptops, i would like to disable the inprivate browsing option for these, i have searched through the registry but there is no key to change for this, similar keys for windows 7 exist but not it appears for 8.1.

home edition doesn't come with a gpedit.msc so i tried installing a third party one to read the policies, although i can now see and make changes to the systems group policies the option for inprivate is not listed under internet explorer in either the computer or user config and admin templates where it is located in windows 7.

i'm wondering if there even is a way to do this?

any advise or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.
