VMM 2016 Cluster Shows Nodes but No VMs RRS feed

  • Question

  • Has anyone come across a situation where a cluster in VMM 2016 lists the cluster object and the nodes in that cluster but does not list any VM in that cluster? There are over 30 VMs in the cluster and outside of the VMM issue everything seems fine.

  • Hello,

If you choose Fabric - All Hosts, what's the host status of these nodes?

Please also open the Properties of the Hyper-V host, and choose status. You can view the each component's status.

If the nodes can communicate with the SCVMM servers correctly, the status should be OK.

    Best regards,

  • Hi Randy,

Make a right click on the Host and select Refresh for Virtual Machine and collect a simultaneous VMM Longman trace. Once collected look for the VM name through the trace and see if it shows up there.

Alternatively, you can share the VMM trace and I can help you with it. Thanks.
