  • In a master schedule (or consolidated schedule) is it still necessary to expand all the subproject schedules so that the subprojects will be refreshed or updated?

If after opening the master schedule and expanding all subproject schedule, the changed are still not reflected, what would the problem be?

When changing the title of a schedule, saving and publishing the schedule why would that new title not be reflected in the master schedule?

  • Adriana Engineer,

Yes, you should expand all subprojects to get everything updated at master level. Also make sure you have calculation set to automatic.

On your second question, what is not being updated?

With regard to your third question, when the master is first created, Project uses the Title of the subproject as the name for the summary line insertion point in the master. that summary line IS part of the master but the subprojects themselves are not. The master only contains pointers to each subproject. If you change the Title property of a subproject that change only resides in the subproject and it will not change the Name field of the summary line insertion point at master level. It's just the way it works.
