copype execution RRS feed

  • Question

  • I know this is not specifically a MDT issue, but I figured that the knowledgeable people would be in this forum.

I am trying to automate the creation of ISO files.  I have a PowerShell script that works fine modifying a normal distribution to contain my modification, such as driver files.  It makes use of the oscdimg.exe file from the ADK.

But I am having difficulty getting the copype command to work within either PowerShell or a simple command window.  It works exactly as expected when I call it up in the Deployment and Imaging Tools Environment command window.  In either a PowerShell window or a simple command window, I always get the error that amd64 architecture was not found.  The command apparently is getting properly parsed that it recognizes my 'amd64' parameter, but it is missing something else.

I noticed that the path in the Deployment and Imaging Tools Environment window was different from my command and PowerShell windows, so I modified the path to be the same in each environment.  Still no go - same error.  So I must be missing something else that is set in the Deployment and Imaging Tools Environment window.

Any hints about what else I can try are appreciated.

  • Did you look over the "DandIsetenv.bat" file? It sets the paths depending on your architecture. Use that for your script.
