    I'll replace our old server 2003 (HW) with a new server 2003. Can I use some tools to move users account from the old machine to the new?

    Hi,

     

    Thank you for your post here.

     

    Do you want to migrate the local user account on the old server to the new server? Or do you want to migrate the user profiles to the new server?

     

    To migrate the user accounts between Active Directory domain, we have ADMT (Active Directory Migration Tool). There is not a method to migrate local SAM users and other objects between servers.

    If your running an Active Directory domain and would like to preserve the whole Domain.. By joining the new Server 2003 server to the domain as a Domain Controller, your domain will be replicated to the new Domain Controller. :) You can then move roles across to the new Domain Controller and demote the old Domain Controller if required.
