Conference room - Why only busy/available? RRS feed

  • Have set up BPOS for 25 users and 10 conference rooms and resources.

    The user (except for the admin) can only see rooms as free/busy in their calendars.

    How can this be expanded to view all data? I want to know who has booked the conference room.

  • I found a solution for this.

    Logged in as Admin on BPOS.

    Started Outlook and changed the properties on each resource. Changed persmissions to Full  details. Was before set to None.

  • Go to Resource scheduling in conference room's Mailbox option. Select "These users can submit a request for manual approval if the resource is available" under 'Resource Scheduling Permissions'.

    Sorry, but I can't find any Resource scheduling.. in Service Settings/Exchange online/Conference rooms.

    Is there another view for this?

  • To Login to Resource settings follow the steps below,

    -> Login as admin and and open conference.

            -> On top right corner you could see the Mailbox name, click and type the name of conference room.

    -> Once after opening conference room, Click options -> Click resource settings on the left pane. Then follow the steps below,

    Go to Resource scheduling in conference room's Mailbox option. Select "These users can submit a request for manual approval if the resource is available" under 'Resource Scheduling Permissions'

    For anyone else that finds this, there's a few steps that I missed.  The following (rough) instructions might be useful:

    1. Sign in to BPOS with an account that has administrative privileges.

    2. Open Outlook.

    3. Switch to Calendar view.

    4. Open the Calendar of the resource that you want to display Free/Busy information.

    5. The calendar will appear in the shared calendars view on the left of the screen.  Right click on the newly-added resource and choose Properties.

    6. Switch to the permissions tab.

    7. Set the 'Change' user permission to 'Reviewer'.
