How can I use sharepoint to publish company news & as a forum RRS feed

  • We are using SharePoint 2010 to create our internal company portal.
    I want to implement following features:
    1. I want to set up a news section in main page, so that whenever admin published a page, the news title will show on the top of the news section with link to the detailed page.
    2. Those news can be authorized by different user groups, means some news can be seen by only several group of users, but not all company users

    My questions are:
    What kind of web parts or ??? should I use in main page?
    How can I publish news and control the permission?
    How can I use sharepoint as a forum, for users to create topic and discuss?

    news or forum?

    Beacause oyu have dedicated soluiton for each one

    For news, you can create a news list , and asiigne to specific users/groups specific rights

    ( this way only some groups/users will have access to informations )

    Regarding forum, you can creade a discussion list, with specific group's rights

    This can be done easy by broser interface

    If you to customize you main page , the easiest way is to use SharepointDesigner 2010 which is free and easy to use
