Proccess Mitigation Options RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

on TechNet I found the following articel regarding the new "Process Mitigation Options" policy.

Override Process Mitigation Options to help enforce app-related security policies
    https://technet.microsoft.com/de-de/itpro/windows/keep-secure/override-mitigation-options-for-app-related-security-policies

Unfortunately I was not able to find information about the defaults. Let's say I have the custom application LOBapp.exe without any further configuration of Windows. Is there any protection on?

Or in other words: Do I have to add processes for which I want protection? Or do I have to add processes for which I want some protection exceptions for compatibility reasons?

    Thanks,
    Michael

Answers

  • Yes, you do, Michael.

Follow the guide of the documentation you mentioned, check the list to configure the value of your LOBapp.exe
