    Microsoft Accounts are used extensively in Windows 10 to sync settings etc.

    How do we setup a Windows 10 machine for Office 365 Business users without using a personal email address for their Microsoft Account?

    Further information: Since September 15th 2016 Microsoft Accounts cannot have an Office 365 email address but instead should use a personal email address such as or Outlook.com or Yahoo etc. This is not acceptable in a business environment.

    Note: These users do not have Windows Intune or Active Directory Premium subscriptions so cannot use Enterprise State Roaming.

    You are right, I am now using a Work or school account to login system and a Hotmail account to login Windows Store or other website service(such as this TechNet forum), this situation is normal, I am afraid that we can’t change it.

    You could ask for hints from Office forum.

    Logging into Windows with a "work or school" / Office 365 account will not sync Windows settings across devices right?

    So how do we do that?

    Note: Logging into Windows with a Microsoft Account syncs Windows settings across devices, automatically backs up Bitlocker keys, enables "Find my device" etc., etc.

    This is not a question about logging into websites or getting hints from the Office forum.

    It's quite important because Office 365 Business users do not want to use an Outlook.com or Yahoo account to sign into Windows 10. They want their Office 365 email address.

    But now they cannot use their Office 365 email address to sign in to their Microsoft Account - so they cannot sync settings etc., between devices.
