  • hi Everybody , i have a doubt in DHCP Server.

    We are using  a DHCP Server and we have done and the Windows update , and after the completion of the Windows update we need to restart but while restarting if any user boots their system will they get their IP Address automatically.

  • DHCP clients will not retain the lease that was previously given to them if they are restarted. They will boot up in the Initalization stage of the DHCP process.

    If any of your clients boot up during your DHCPs reboot process.  They will either need to be restarted, or use the "ipconfig /renew" command to obtain an IP.
