I agree with you.
It may be an attempt to dilute all the negative content contributors are posting with boilerplate. Apparently it's impossible to make the products work better to help stem that tide.
It's appropriate you posted here - this seems a lot like the Windows 8 direction... More fluff, big fonts, less useful stuff.

I'm not surprised you like it.
Perhaps you need more dead space and a lower information density to get things into your brain. You represent the target audience and thus the future of Microsoft very well I think. Well done.
