"microsoft certified" router spec??? RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi,

can someone explain me what makes a router "microsoft certified" in a programmers/ speccification type of way ?

i'm working on my router and i seems like everything is standard compiland for Internet Gateway Device (IGD) V 1.0 found here http://upnp.org/specs/gw/igd1/

upnp works for xp: i can see the service and control my firewall(iptables)

i'm currently working on v 2.0, i will test it later.

now it seems that with a xbox360 it does not work, looking on the internet i only can find that i need a "microsoft certified" router.

now to roundup my question: Where can i find this spec and what are the differences with the real spec?

thanks for your reading and help

p.s. i am searching for developers/implementors information; i am going to create and modify software. i think ill name it Jet An Other Damm Small Linux FireWall (jaoDSLfw). (thank for keeping the form clean.)

    p.p.s. sorry wrong form
