ADFS & Proxy when renaming the on premise Active Directory domain (federated with O365) RRS feed

  • Question

  • What steps must be take on the ADFS & Proxy servers if the on-premise Active Directory is renamed?

[The AD domain is federated with O365.]

NetBIOS name is to rename the same and the DNS domain name only will change, e.g.,

         Domain.org will become Domain.com

    Thank you.

In addition, Since renaming an AD domain which is federated with Office 365 is complicated and most of tasks are changed from the on-premises server, it is better for you to visit the dedicated ADFS support Forum. It is also appreciated that the other members in our forum can share their experience with us about this scenario.

  • Thank you -- the link you show above for a similar case is unfortunately *my own* questions which I asked originally on the O365 Community but I do appreciate you taking the time to research it.

I thought this area was a place to ask ADFS questions but will follow your link to the ADFS forum and ask again.

    Thanks.
