SKYPE OLD VERSIONS RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi,

I am using Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and recently I was forced to download latest Skype version, which I believe is ok for Win 10.

I want to use the Split window chat but am unable to do since that is only designed for Win10.

Please advise if I can download/use previous versions to my comfort.

  • Hi RL2018.

I don't think the older versions are still available for download.
And it is highly likely that a certain moment you could be "forced" to upgrade if you do not want to incur in the risk of either being unsupported or having a Skype version that does not work anymore.

    Bye.

  • Hi RL2018,

    Thanks for posting your query.

I'm afraid that we cannot download the pervious version of skype. News: As we continue to focus on and improve Skype version 8, support for Skype versions 7, and below will end on November 1, 2018 on desktop devices and November 15, 2018 on mobile and tablet devices.

    Here is the blog: https://blogs.skype.com/news/2018/07/16/upgrade-to-the-latest-version-of-skype-for-desktop/

    Thank you for understanding.

    Best regards,

    Yilia
