Printer offline windows 10 RRS feed

  • My printer is offline, i fixed this the other day but printer offline again. Re fix  going to "whats printing " pressing printer and then un checking printer offline am unable tp do this as is greyed out. Equally another fix when going to printer properties and advanced then print straight to printer  not work ,it did last time. dont know what else to do, Printer was working fine then this started happening

  • Hi,

    What I can think of is that you may not be the owner of this printer, the current condition is printer offline, the “Use Printer Offline” option is ticked but you can’t untick it because this option is greyed out.

    This condition seems permission issue, try to uninstall printer and reinstall it. if it’s convenient to you, initialize printer is an effective way.

  • Had the same problem, ~  Depending how the defaults are set up on Printer management ~  You might have to be logged in   as "administrator"  to open the options you currently see shadowed . ~

    1. Go to control panel on your computer.
    2. Click on the devices and printers option. 
    3. Click on the manage printers option. 
    4. Click on the printer model that you are using and select “See what’s printing”.
    5. Click on “printer” and select the use printer offline to remove the check remarks. 
    6. Now turn on your router. 
    7. Check whether your computer and printer are connected to the Wi-Fi network or not. 
    8. Set the network name and password. 
    9. Now try to set the printer online for which you need to go to setting and then the printer.
    10. Now again right click on the printer icon and click to use printer online option.
