exchange server pop3/imap RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I want to integrate Exchange server 2010 with service desk tool.earlier we were using pop3/imap4.But now in this version pop3/imap4 is disabled, and exchange server admin team don't want to enable it.

we supposed to give host name, port number of pop3/imap4 server details to integrate.Any clue for my problem.

How can i connect Exchange server without POP3/IMAP4.

  • You can try to connect by using EWS (Exchange Web Services).

  • Thanks Nolwen,

    giving my sample requirement

i am having one mailbox say abc@abc.com.whenever i get mail to this mail id from any id i want to do some activity in my tool.

so i need to do something from exchange server calling  tool web service and pass arguments.

Is this what you are saying? is it possible from EWS?

  • Is it possible to enable pop3/Imap for few mail boxes in Exchange server, instead of activating POP3/IMAP on whole exchange server?
