In IE when i try to open wss 3.0 site I need to specify defaul.aspx without it it wont work RRS feed

    In IE , to open wss3.0 site i need to explicitly specify the default.aspx with site name in browser e.g http://<servername>:port/default.aspx without defaut.aspx e.g. http://<servername>:port/ it wont work it gives 403 Forbidden error insted of redirecting to login page. my site is FBA.

    when i specify http://<servername>:port in Firefox or Chrome it works fine it direct to login.aspx. how can i overcome this issue please help me out asap.
