now I want to change them from windows 7 to windows 10 but for sorry I can not apply the policy

every thing is OK but the user can use the run command(Run) in the start menu and the search box in the task bar and when he write (\\folder shared name) its open all the shared folder in this shared location network

but the message still appeared to him if he write the same thing through windows explorer

so please I want user to be unable to use the Run command in the start menu or in the task bar through group policy

  • Hi,

    Thanks for your post.

You may follow the group policy User Configuration\AdministrativeTemplates\Start Menu & Taskbar\Remove Run menu from Start Menu.

  • This is not the correct answer. Remove run has been deprecated in Windows 10

thank you so much , you really answer me by give me the link that explain the removed group policy items, but can these policy repeated again cause many of them very important for us as a server administrator and we must use with users for centralized and security management ,I do not know how they can remove them!!!!!!!!??? , they must return,by this removing I will stay the work stations of our institution with windows 7 and can not upgrade to windows 10, so is this procedures of removing is the correct aim for Microsoft by make us never use their new product !!! I do not think so??

    thank you again

    Regards
