Predecessor Task after Succesor in Leveling RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello everyone,

I am using the latest version of MS Project Professional 2019 and I am a beginner, so the problem might be pretty basic:)

I just could not figure out why Project would set a predecessor after its successor when im leveling.  When I raise the Priority of the predecessor manually it is working just fine and also by this my entire project finishes earlier. So why would the calculation not come up with this. Do I need to change any settings?

I am using the following leveling option:

The file is on my oneDrive:

Thank you very much for your help and time

  • Hi,

If you set the levelling to manual, and then clear the levelling, and then manually level when you need to your issue will disappear.   Best practise is to keep levelling as manual.
