Excel Web App doesn't let you edit a workbook if it contains macros. However, I need to be able to download a workbook, run some macros, and then upload it back up to Skydrive.
My current method is to save my XLS file as XLSX and convert it Back to XLS to remove all macros. But, this can be a little timecomsuming.
Does anyone have an idea for a better method of utilizing macros on a workbook and then later uploading that workbook to Skydrive?
Any help is appreciated,
I think I've solved this problem. Basically All I do is maintain another workbook with the Macros I want to use. Open up both workbooks, Open UP VBA in the Workbook with the Macros and then Select a Cell in the Workbook that I want to Change.
By doing this, I make my macros run and the workbook I frequently upload and download is free of macros so the Excel Web App is Happy.
