Not able to install agent on Primary site server RRS feed

    Hello,

    I am not able to install the agent on SCCM primary site server either by pushing or manual install. I see the below error message in ccmsetup.log. Is there any other way to install the client.

    "

    "File C:\Windows\ccmsetup\{59A0EA77-D28C-4286-83A6-04BB57B9CDD6}\client.msi installation failed. Error text: ExitCode: 1603
    Action: CcmRegisterHostingConfiguration.
    ErrorMessages:
    Setup was unable to register the CCM_Service_HostingConfiguration endpoint
    The error code is 80041002"

    Thanks Matt,

    Apart from following that trick to remove and add MP from the primary site. There was one more trick w.r.t to SP1 CU3. 

    We need to use the PATCH as well with the command line. So, the actual cmd looks like below:

    E:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\Client>ccmsetup.exe /source:"E:
    \Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\Client" PATCH="<complete path of the patch>\configmgr2012ac-sp1-kb2882125-x64.msp"

    It installed successfully on the server.

    review the msi log.

    Try to open an elevated command prompt and then launch the install.  What version?  R2 Sp1 Cu3?  Are you slip streaming the update into the install.  Can you paste the install string here?
