  • Hello,

    Question 1:
Once complete upgrade Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2016, we can run new HCW in Exchange 2016 to update your current hybrid configuration, and do not need change anything in old server.

    Question 2 & 4:
In consideration of reducing effect for current client, install new Exchange 2016 server in a new network side, then configure all services (include SCP, all VD's URL, Outlook Anywhere, MAPI over HTTP) and install certificate.

Then move new Exchange 2016 into your current Exchange 2010 server, empty Exchange 2010's external URLs and ensure all external access route to new Exchange 2016.

Once Co-existence completed, run HCW in Exchange 2016 to update hybrid configuration.

    Question 3:
Yes, it's supported to migrate Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2016 directly.
Refer to: Install Exchange 2016 in Exchange 2010 Co-existence

Meanwhile, try run Microsoft Exchange Server Deployment Assistant to get more steps.
Note: it's highly recommend test it in lab before deploy it in product environment.

    Best Regards,

    Allen Wang

  • Hello

    Here you go:-

This download comes as a pre-configured VHD. This download enables you evaluate Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 SP1 for 180 days.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5002

This is pre configured and fully configured virtual machine of the latest release of Exchange Server 2010 SP1.

In order to use this evaluation Exchange package you need to have Microsoft Hyper-V installed on a physical machine.

Details of how to setup the VHDs are included in the Quick Start Guide available on this download page.

Following are the credentials of the VM.

Hope it will help you to setup your lab environment without any trouble.
