Event id 1053 and 1000 error appears logon to Server 2008 domain RRS feed

  • Question

  •  One Server 2008 (AD/DNS/DHCP Server)
    - Client: Windows XP Pro. SP3
    - SEP client 11

Some User's computer will appear the following event ID error after first logon domain every morning.

    Event id 1053 Error
Windows cannot determine the user or computer name. (The RPC server is unavailable).  Group Policy processing aborted

    Event id 1000 Error
Windows could not execute login.bat due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified

Lastly, user cannot map network drive by excuting the login.bat file.

It was needed to restart computer or restart netlogon service (somtimes not work) to solve the problem.

How can I fix it? Server 2008 dns server seems running normal. Please kindly help. Thanks.

  • Hello,

It seems like your SYSVOL dir is not properly shared... can you check this ?

What about ip configuration ? can you post ipconfig /all result here please.

  • 1.  SYSVOL share?

    jpdc\sysvol\jpworld.local\policies

    jpdc\sysvol\jpworld.local\scripts

Use the default setup from initial installation. Not change manually. Can read by everyone now.

    2. Below is the dcdiag.
