IIFP GALsync and EX2003 Resource Forest

According to the below article, I can create a resource forest and “linked” mailboxes in Ex2002. So I don’t have to use Ex2007 or Exchange 2010. Is there any difference between Ex2007 “linked” mailbox concept and Ex2003 ones?

The only difference is that in Exchange 2007 you create Mailbox in EMC and in Exchange 2003 you creat it in ADUC. :)
