    Hi - we have MS office 2013 and all of a sudden we can't get into it. "something went wrong - please close" Error code 1058-13

    We can retrieve our documents in excel if it is in an email message.  But we can't get into Office or any of the other documents saved to our hard drive. This happened about a month ago. I could not uninstall so I used MS Fix - It.  Uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it worked find.  Today I can't access it again. I tried to use the MS  Fix-It and it didn't help.  I cannot uninstall it.

    Any ideas?  We have Windows 7.

    You might see Office error code 1058-13 if your antivirus software, firewall, or proxy settings prevent you from installing Office. To resolve the problem, temporarily turn off your antivirus software, firewall, or proxy settings, install Office, and then turn the settings back on.

    To: MS Support

    This is not a satisfying solution. It doesn't answer the reason why it suddenly Office 2013 stopped working.  Some windows update should have cause this because in my case those are the only one that get installed in my machine.

    The reinstall of Office is the "easy way out" to a problem caused by you people and we the customer always have to pay the consecuences.  Who's gonna pay for the time I spend in solving this? Just asking.

    Please create a fix that doesn't require us  the customers to reinstall a product that was working for several years now.
