Can resource work be in days instead of hours RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am working in Project Server 2010 and have always used hours when allocating resources.  I have currently begun working on a new project and the management for this project would like to use days instead (the resources attached to this project do not have rates in the resource pool).  Is this even possible?

    Appreciate it.

To add to the excellent answer from Roopkumar, do you only need to ENTER work in Days, or do you always need to SEE work in Days?  If it is the latter, the the solution from Roopkumar is what you need to do.  If it is the former, you can simply enter work in days when you assign resources to tasks.  For example, if I use the Task Entry view and enter 5d of Work, the software will automatically calculate the Work value in Hours.  Hope this little extra helps.

  • Thanks Dale.  Actually, I need to see the work in days, but truly appreciate you attention to detail and you always provide good information.  Debbie

You are more than welcome for the additional information, though perhaps not actually needed.  :)
