Azure Files / Azure NetApp Files unable to authorise using external/B2B account? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am hoping someone can help. I have a central 365/Azure environment that has been created as a collaboration space for a number of companies to connect to. Each company is invited into the space by an Azure Guest invitation. 365 SaaS applications are working fine however when we build IaaS and PaaS solutions authentication seems a bit more difficult.

I have an Azure Files share and Azure NetApp Files share to be used as a central data repository. When authenticating using a tenant ID it works fine, however when authenticating with an external ID, a guest ID of another tenant who is registered in AAD, it doesn't work.

Am I able to authenticate to a file share using AAD credentials of an external guest user to the tenant?

    Thanks
