CPU utilization is peek, while we checking WSUS service getting 97% in svhost RRS feed

  • Question

  • CPU utilization is peek in windows server 2008 R2 OS , while we checking WSUS service getting 97% in svhost

    What did we had troubleshoot:

    1. We have tried Kill the WSUS process based in PID but PID contain all svhost services so we won't able to kill the process.

    2. Check the wsus service and did stop, its couldn't be stopped.

    3.we have tried stop the svhost but all the containing services all are stopped and hung stage.

    4.Then we have rebooted the server and fixed the issue because wsus not properly updated in the server.

    So please anyone provide the solution for without reboot and fix the issue.

    1. How many client are connecting to WSUS server ? if possible, you could try to following

    2. To set a correct value of private memory for WSUSPool in IIS;
    3. To set Min/Max memory for WID;
