  •      I have a Dell Latitude with windows 7 professional and an core i5. It shuts down unexpectedly when I close the lid to put it to sleep. This has been happening since monday 11/25/2013 around 5:30 pm. I scanned the whole computer multiple times using Kaspersky 2013 and it didn't detect any threats. I used system restore and it shut down unexpectedly again a few times untill I was able to somewhat restore it back but it shown me a message stating  that it did not successfully restore. It detected 10 updates. I ran the update but the problem still persists. I was able to get this statement when it recovered:

  • I seemed to have solved the issue. I removed an avg anti virus program from 2011 that got converted into a trial version of 2012 that I switched to free version. So far my computer has been able to sleep and wake up.
