Unable to find the Alert criteria for a specific Alert in AD MP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

We have 1 specific monitor related to AD which is being generating Alerts:

Alert Name - The Op Master PDC Last Bind latency is above the configured threshold (AD DC Op Master PDC Last Bind Monitor)

When we check the Alert criteria it does not have the configuration tab its self:

So we suspected it may be executing an AD script and is generating the Alert, But we found that this alert is looking for a performance counter and is fetching the data from it.

I analysed a collection rule for the same alert and the collection rule mentions it is using the below object, counter & Instance:

But it seems that the above performance counter is not present in the domain controller its self as below from the list of objects:

Does any know why is SCOM showing like that and from where is the data for this Alert and collection rule being collected ?

  • AD Op master PDC last Bind does not monitor the performance counter. It uses script to capture response time for a bind to the domain controller holding the Primary Domain Controller (PDC) Emulator operations.
